Masks

I'm sorry again for disappearing for three weeks. I've spent most of the summer just taking a nice long deep break from school. I've gotten more involved with my friends and things with my church, so I'm not on the computer a lot!

I was watching tv the other day, and there was some game show (The Price is Right, I think) and everyone in the audience were wearing mask. It made me think of a really cool verse I've heard a bunch of times.

1 Thessalonians 2:5

"You know we never used false flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed, God is our witness."

In my opinion, I really think that verse it telling people not to act like somebody they're not just to get something they want. An example: I wanted to go shopping, but my dad said no. So I went to my mom and buttered her up until she took me. A weird example, but it's true. xD It's the same thing with friends. Don't be fake just to get them to like you or to get something from them.

Just something to think about. I'll try to comment on other blogs soon. Keep checking back!
