Unicorns

Everyone used to believe in unicorns when they were younger, right? Or at least I did. Now, we say that they never existed. But how awesome would it be if they did? Would you guys think I was crazy if I told you they did exist? Some of you guys may be rolling your eyes already, but hear what I have to say to all of you people reading this. Don't think unicorns were real? Check out these KJV verses.

Numbers 23:22
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Numbers 24:8
God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

Deuteronomy 33:17a
His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns

Job 39:9-10
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

Psalm 22:21
Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

Psalm 29:6
He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

Psalm 92:10
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Isaiah 34:7
And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

I had to use a King James Version of the Bible because all the other versions changed the word unicorn with ox. It sounds like that by these verses a unicorn had a horn, they had an untamed nature, and they were also strong. No one knows for sure if they were the horse like creatures with shimmery horns. Isn't it amazing what the Bible can tell us? What do guys think of these verses? Did you think unicorns might have once existed even if you didn't have proof? What do you think now? Thanks for reading and please comment!

God bless you!

i firmly believe that dragons unicorns the loch ness monster and all those "mythical" things were included in the creation at the beginning of out time..it makes perfect sense...human for as long as i can tell have killed things we were scared of...so if we didnt understand the unicorn why not just eliminate it....its part of our sin nature

I think that is totally awesome.

Go unicorns!

But why do they have to be portrayed in today's world as imaginary things for little girls? All these "mythical" creatures are so underestimated...

Things in the Bible make everything look way better and more real than people do...

Say, Sapphira, how did you find those verses? Everyone but me seems to know where to find any verse in the Bible....or close....

That is really interesting and neat. I believe in Dinosaurs from different verses. There is a verse in Job that talks about dinosaurs, but I can't remember where it was.
I had never given unicorns much thought.

The Late Passenger, by C.S.Lewis (abridged)

The beasts were in, but Japhet said, 'I see one creature more
Belated and unmated there come knocking at the door.'

'Well let him knock,' said Ham, 'Or let him drown or learn to swim.
We're overcrowded as it is; we've got no room for him.'

Noah tumbled up on deck and out he put his head;
His face went grey, his knees were loosed, he tore his beard and said,

'Look, look! It would not wait. It turns away. It takes its flight.
Fine work you've made of it, my sons, between you all the night!

'Oh long shall be the furrows ploughed across the hearts of men
Before it comes to stable and to manger once again,

'And dark and crooked all the ways in which our race shall walk,
And shrivelled all their manhood like a flower with broken stalk,

'And all the world, oh Ham, may burse the hour when you were born;
Because of you the Ark must sail without the unicorn.'
